What about another unusual gift for Valentines' Day. An American entrepreneur is charging between $800-$5,000 for couples to join the Mile High Club. The Las Vegas-based 'Love Cloud' offers flights over Sin City for lovers who want to get their mojos working at altitude - and they're offering a 10 percent discount over February 14th this year. "It is a very romantic experience," said the company's founder Andy Johnson, 33. "The interior is equipped with plush fabrics, velvet and suede, mood lighting and music." Condoms and lubricant are also provided along with chocolates and flowers at an extra cost to the basic 40-minute, $800 package. "Joining the mile high club is something that many people want to experience before they die, an unforgettable adventure for the bucket-list," said Johnson. The current plane is a Cessna 421 Golden Eagle but Johnson has plans to expand to larger, more opulent aircraft soon. A Love Cloud jet ride will cost around $5,000-per-hour with a Turboprop voyage hovering around the $2,500 mark. Chartered flights and more elaborate wedding packages are also available. "We'll be running flights for groups of up to six people," said Johnson. "But we will maintain a very intimate experience." (Rex Features)

Are selfies ruining your love life? A UK company argues that choosing partners via 'selfies' on looks-centric apps like Tinder leads to "bad dates and broken relationships". With the backing of two prominent UK psychologists the LoveFlutter organisation is launching "Anti-Selfie Day" for February 14th 2015. They are also promoting an online petition to 'ban the 2015 Oscar selfie'. The move prompted a vehement backlash online: "Stop sh**ing on people for having confidence (ps a bunch of people are posting u selfies, lol, have fun you t**ts" [sic] read one typical comment on Twitter. "Many people are violently unwilling to stop taking selfies for one single day," said a Loveflutter rep incredulously. "Some people have been really aggressive about it. That can't be a good thing can it? Is it that hard to go 24 hours without a selfie?" The group, who are also responsible for the "Paper Bag Speed Dating" trend, is asking selfie enthusiasts to write an interesting fact about their personality on a paper bag instead - then put the bag over their heads and snap a picture. According to the group the top three celebrity "selfie criminals" are: Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber. (via Splash News)
